The constant development of ceramic materials poses a challenge for the tile setters. With the advent of porcelain stoneware, the hardness of the materials became the greatest concern for the professional. Now, with the new manufacturing methods and with the use of porcelain stoneware as the most widely used material as well as the growing presence of large formats, the main obstacle is the difficulty of cutting ceramic tiles. This difficulty arises from the combination of hardness, thickness, surface texture and possible internal stresses of the material itself.

For the most difficult ceramic materials, RUBI offers the professional the EXTREME cutting wheels. The EXTREME cutting wheels are made of high-quality tungsten carbide with a special coating of titanium carbide. Thanks to this coating, the cutting wheels of RUBI EXTREME wear less during use. Since the EXTREME cutting wheels are mounted on a ball bearing, the friction between the wheel and the shaft is also completely eliminated. This combination allows the EXTREME cutting wheel to deliver much better performance and offers a smooth cut and a 300% longer service life compared to SILVER cutting wheels under the same conditions.

The cutting wheels of the EXTREME series are specifically designed and recommended for cutting ceramic materials with smooth and structured surfaces (textures or reliefs). The EXTREME cutting wheels are compatible with the RUBI tile cutters TS-MAX, TR-MAGNET and SPEED-MAGNET with 10mm intake and with the TZ and TX-MAX series with 12mm intake. In addition, the RUBI EXTREME cutting wheel is compatible with the manual cutting machines TQ, TP-T and TP-S as well as with the manual large format cutting system SLIM CUTTER from the product range SLAB SYSTEM.
